Making a mini notebook

This morning I made a new mini notebook working in my light box and taking a lot of pictures to show the steps of the process. The bookbinding tecnique I use is the hard cover one. If you want to learn how to bookbind a notebook take a look at these video tutorial. They are really cool!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_EcRtRxVXI
First you have to cut and fold you signatures and puch the holes for sewing.
Glue the endpapers to the first and last signatures.
Glue two pieces of cotton tape to the first signature.
Sew the signatures together.
Making the cover: measure the textblock and cut the cardboard.
Glue the three pieces of cardboard to a piece of kraft paper.
Cover the cardboard with a decorative paper.

Insert the textblock and attach it to the cover. Let it dry.
This notebook is now available in my Etsy shop. Click here!

Ooooh, I may be good at drawing but I am NOT a crafty/handy person. Too clumsy. It’s a great tutorial and yet, if I tried it, I can only see it ending in tears, and possibly fire. ;)

I love seeing how you create your amazing journals! I’m going to link to this post on my new blog, because it is awesome. Thanks so much for showing us your process! I adore your journals, and if my hubby doesn’t get me one for Christmas, I’m going to have to just order one myself!
