For the first time I use canvas on the cover, it’s neutral cotton I dip dyed to create this ombre look. At this time I have blue, green, yellow covers but soon I’ll be adding more colours.

Finalmente posso proporvi un nuovo lavoro: le agendine 2013 con copertina in cotone “dip dye” ovvero intinto :)

Ho scelto questa volta di provare con il tessuto e sono davvero soddisfatta di quello bell’effetto sfumato. Al momento ho tre colori disponibili, blu, verde, giallo, ma presto ne aggiungerò altri!

Forse alcuni di voi ricordano questi mini sacchettini in carta riciclata, sono stati alcuni dei primi oggetti che ho venduto su Etsy appena aperto il negozio… beh adesso sono tornati con nuovi design creati appositamente per i vostri matrimoni!

All of the designs are original created by my sister Elena, they’ll be customized with bride and groom names and the wedding date.

New notebooks in the shop! And there’s a funny story behind.

Nuovi quaderni nel negozio… con una storiella divertente.

These are five huge wallpaper sample folders, I was lucky enough to walk the street in the moment the shop owner was going to throw them away. I wasn’t sure what there was inside nor what to do with them, but I took them anyway! Once home I laid them on the floor and started flipping through, it’s a sturdy vinyl textured wallpaper in a rainbow of colors and patterns. Exactly what I need fot my notebook!

Questi 5 raccoglitori sono campionari di carta da parati recuperati un attimo prima che il proprietario del negozio li gettasse, in quel momento non avevo idea di cosa contenessero, nè di come avrei potuto utilizzarli ma li ho presi ugualmente… sesto senso ;-) Una volta a casa ho iniziato a sfogliarli e mi sono resa conto che si trattava di carta da parati vinilica in diversi pattern, texture e colori. Esattamente quello di cui avevo bisogno per i miei nuovi quaderni!

Questi sono i primi tre che ho realizzato, disponibili sul mio Etsy Shop, la misura è 21×15 cm (A5), ma sicuramente ne farò anche altri più piccoli!

I just finished renovating my studio/lab, I bought some MOPPE chests from Ikea and placed them on my white desk (MELLTORP), then labeled each drawer using some masking tape and rubber stamps.

Venerdì scorso sono stata ad Ikea e ho acquistato tre mini cassettiere MOPPE che ho piazzato sulla mia scrivania (il tavolo MEELTORP), per praticità  ho etichettato ogni cassetto scrivendone il contenuto su dei pezzetti di masking tape.

I also bought two of the new KVISSLE items, the letter tray you can see in the bookshelf holding my colored paper and the cable management box, I love them both, they’re cheap and beautiful!

Ho aggiunto anche due oggetti della linea KVISSLE, una novità di Ikea, sono molto belli ed economici, in acciaio e sughero. Io ho preso la cassettina per la corrispondenza (che ho inserito in uno dei ripiani della libreria) dove ho organizzato i miei fogli di carta colorata, e la scatola per organizzare i cavi.

I’m really happy to introduce a new product available in the shop, it’a double sided wrapping paper featuring a Unicorn pattern on one side and a Marauder’s Map on the other. It measures 420 X 594 mm (16.5″x23.4″), it’s printed on strong 115 g paper.

Sono davvero felice di presentarvi questo nuovo prodotto disponibile nel mio negozio, è una carta regalo double face. Da un lato è stampato un pattern ispirato agli unicorni e dall’altra parte una Mappa del Malandrino. La misura è A2 (420 x 594 mm), è stampata su carta 115 g patinata opaca.

Lo scorso luglio sono stata contattata dal team di Ikea Live, mi hanno proposto di realizzare un servizio su casa nostra dopo aver trovato delle foto su Flickr della nostra cucina. Non ci potevo credere (e ancora adesso mi sembra impossibile!), in un paio di settimane abbiamo definito i dettagli e il team ci ha raggiunto qui a Bitritto per tre giorni fantastici.

The first day Sam the stylist and her assistant Annie took a look at our flat, took some measurement of the kitchen and spent some time with us asking about our style in decorating. The next days were all about getting ready for the photoshoot, Sam and Annie had a trip to Ikea and bring a lot of new stuff with them (we were lo lucky!!). On Wednesday morning the rest of the team arrived, it was Bill the photographer and Sam the art director.

Il primo giorno Sam la stylist e la sua assistente Annie hanno dato un’occhiata all’appartamento, preso delle misure in cucina e passato con noi qualche minuto per capire meglio quali fossero i nostri gusti in arredamento. Il giorno dopo è stato quello della preparazione al servizio fotografico, Sam e Annie hanno passato la mattinata ad Ikea selezionando per noi tantissimi nuovi prodotti (che fortuna!!). Al Mercoledì ci hanno raggiunti Bill il fotografo e Sam la art director.

It was such a great experience to see them at work, Gianluca and I posed for some pictures and then we had a lunch all together (together with our friends Cristina and Fabio who posed for the photoshoot together with us) talking about Italy, food, and Ikea.

Vederli al lavoro è stata una bellissima esperienza, Gianluca ed io abbiamo posato per alcuni scatti e ci siamo divertiti un mondo, e poi abbiamo pranzato tutti insieme (con i nostri amici Cristina e Fabio che ci hanno raggiunto per le foto) parlando dell’Italia, del cibo e di Ikea.

And finally this is a picture we took at the end of the photoshoot, I want to thank you Bethan and Nathaniel for contacting me in the beginning, Sam, Annie, Bill, Sam for the three funny days they made us live.

Ecco come promesso una piccola selezione di fotografie del nostro matrimonio. Abbiamo celebrato il nostro matrimonio nella sala del comune del nostro paese, una cerimonia rapida al termine della quale ci siamo goduti un pò di musica suonata dagli amici e colleghi di Gianluca: Dario al contrabbasso e Max alla chitarra. Che bella sorpresa :D

After the ceremony we moved to a farm where we took some pictures and had a beautiful lunch with our family and friends. Dopo la cerimonia ci siamo spostati in una fattoria a pochi chilometri di distanza dove abbiamo fatto alcune foto, un bel giro in Topolino e abbiamo pranzato insieme alle nostre famiglie e agli amici.

In the next few weeks I’ll show you our handmade invitations and the wedding favours we made :)

Nelle prossime settimane scriverò un nuovo post con tante fotografie delle partecipazioni e delle bomboniere.
